On Sunday the Flyers and the St. Louis Surge would square off for the National Championship. This was the fourth time these two teams battled this year. The Surge had a 2-1 advantage.

“I am so proud of this team. We put this program together in a short time and to be playing for a National title in the first year is impressive,” said Koch-Dowell. “We’re not done. We will be back next year.”

Koch-Dowell also wanted to thank the overwhelming support from their fans this year.

“The support we received was unbelievable,” said Koch-Dowell. “We can’t thank everyone enough.”
